What you’d actually pay
on HoneyBook vs BookNox.

Most “HoneyBook savings” calculators inflate the number by pretending the 2.9% card fee is money you keep. It isn’t — you pay roughly that to Stripe either way. This one is honest: it compares the subscription tier ladder, which is where the real difference lives.

Which of these do you need?

What you’d pay per year

HoneyBook tier you’d needEssentials
HoneyBook (49/mo × 12)$588
BookNox (flat $29/mo, no tiers)$348
You keep per year$240

Subscription cost only. Card processing runs at roughly standard rates on both (HoneyBook ~2.9% + 25¢, Stripe ~2.9% + 30¢), so it’s excluded rather than counted as a saving — the honest difference is the tier ladder, not a per-payment skim. The one real payment edge: BookNox uses Stripe Connect direct charges, so deposits land in your bank with no platform fee on top (BookNox’s platform fee is 0%). HoneyBook pricing verified June 2026 (Starter $29/$36, Essentials $49/$59, Premium $109/$129 annual/monthly per month); SaaS pricing changes, so confirm current rates before relying on this.

Why the honest version matters

We don’t count the card fee as “savings.”

HoneyBook charges about 2.9% + 25¢ to process a card payment. On BookNox you pay Stripe’s standard 2.9% + 30¢ directly, because BookNox uses Stripe Connect and takes a 0% platform fee on top. So on a typical card deposit, processing is close to a wash — and any calculator claiming you “save thousands in fees” is counting money that never changes hands.

The one genuine payment edge: with Stripe Connect direct charges, the deposit lands in your bank account and BookNox is never in the money path or skimming a per-booking cut.

Where the price diverges

The tier ladder, not the swipe.

BookNox matches HoneyBook’s cheapest tier on price — and then stops moving. HoneyBook’s climbs: automations and accounting sync push you to Essentials, and a second team seat pushes you to Premium. The calculator above shows what that ladder costs you over a year against one flat $29/mo plan.
