Generated entirely in your browser. BookNox never sees your name or the rendered image. Transparent PNG: works as an email-signature image, watermark, or proposal sign-off.

Where it fits

A signature image is the easy half.

  • Good uses for the PNG. Email footers, letterheads, watermark stamps, and dropping into PDF signature fields when a client sends you a form to fill.
  • What real contract signing adds. Under the ESIGN Act and UETA, an electronic signature binds when there is intent and consent, and proving that later takes a record: who signed, when, from where, and that the document has not changed since. What belongs in the contract itself is its own topic; see what a photographer contract must include or the contract guides for your trade.
  • How BookNox handles it. Clients sign inside the quote page before paying the deposit, and every signed contract stores the signature with a timestamped audit trail and a fingerprint of the exact document signed. How contracts work in BookNox.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is a typed signature legally valid?
In the United States, generally yes. The federal ESIGN Act and the state UETA laws give electronic signatures the same legal effect as ink when the signer intends to sign and the parties agree to do business electronically. What matters is intent and consent, not whether the mark was typed, drawn, or penned. A few document types such as wills are excluded, and this is general information, not legal advice.
Does my signature image leave my browser?
No. The image is drawn on a canvas in your own browser and downloaded from there. Nothing you type is sent to our servers and nothing is stored.
What file do I get?
A PNG with a transparent background, sized for dropping into documents, email footers, or PDF fields.
Is a signature image the same as signing a contract electronically?
Not by itself. A signature image is just a picture; a proper electronic signing flow also records who signed, when, and their consent, and protects the document from silent edits. That record keeping is what makes the signature provable later.
