The contract auto-generates with actual booking data and the doula-specific clauses we built (see them on /templates):
- Support type (birth / postpartum / both) picked at proposal time; contract codifies the exact scope for the support package the family is buying
- Prenatal visits included (configurable) 2 default; family knows exactly how many in-person sessions before labor
- On-call window: 38-42 weeks gestation spelled out so you’re not on the hook outside the clinical-on-call window, with appointment-only support before/after
- Backup doula policy if you have a simultaneous client, emergency, or illness, you arrange a vetted backup from your network at no extra cost — family gets a phone/video intro before the on-call window opens
- Birth-team coordination (non-clinical) clearly disclosed: you complement the clinical care team, you don’t replace it — protects you from scope-creep into clinical territory
- Postpartum visits included (configurable) 1 default; covers newborn-care guidance, infant-feeding support, emotional check-ins, light baby-related support tasks
