Stripe fee calculator.
Forward + reverse, 2026 rates.

Two questions every Stripe-using vendor asks. (1) If I charge a client $X, what do I receive? (2) If I want to receive $X net, what should I charge? This tool does both for cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH Direct Debit.

If you charge $1,500.00

Stripe fee$43.80
Effective rate2.92%
You receive$1,456.20

Reverse: to NET $1,500.00, charge…

Gross to charge$1,545.11
Stripe takes$45.11

Based on Stripe’s 2026 US-domestic published rates: 2.9% + 30¢ per card / Apple Pay / Google Pay charge; 0.8% capped at $5.00 per ACH Direct Debit charge. International cards add 1.5%; currency conversion adds 1%. BookNox uses Stripe Connect Express, so these are the rates the vendor pays directly to Stripe — no platform markup on top.

2026 Stripe rates (US domestic)

The published numbers.

  • Card (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover): 2.9% + 30¢ per successful charge. Same rate applies to Apple Pay and Google Pay since they tokenize to the underlying card.
  • ACH Direct Debit (US bank account): 0.8% of the transaction amount, capped at $5.00 per charge. The cap kicks in at transactions of $625 or more — above that, ACH is cheaper than card by absolute dollars and percentage.
  • International cards: +1.5% surcharge on top of the base 2.9% + 30¢. Currency conversion adds another 1%. Not covered by this calculator — mid-market US service vendors rarely encounter international cards on booking deposits.
  • Disputes (chargebacks): $15 dispute fee per chargeback, refunded if the dispute is decided in the vendor’s favor. Not included in the per-transaction math above.

Why this matters for BookNox vendors

No platform markup on top of Stripe’s rate.

BookNox uses Stripe Connect Express, which routes payments directly from your client’s card to your connected Stripe account. BookNox doesn’t add a per-booking platform fee on top of Stripe’s rate — the numbers above are exactly what you pay, and exactly what you receive.

HoneyBook, Dubsado, and 17hats add their own per-payment processing markup on top of Stripe’s rate. On a $4,000 wedding deposit, that markup costs HoneyBook’s vendors ~$116 above what Stripe takes — see /booknox-vs-honeybook for the math.

Keep more of every charge.
