Switching from Dubsado

How to switch from Dubsado to BookNox.

Import your Dubsado contacts, connect your own Stripe, and stand up your booking link. Most vendors are live the same afternoon, then cancel Dubsado when it suits them.

The move, step by step

An afternoon, not a migration project.

Your Dubsado history stays exactly where it is while you set up your new front door. Here is the whole move.

  • 1. Export your Dubsado client list. Export your contacts from Dubsado as a CSV or spreadsheet (Dubsado’s help docs cover exporting your clients). Projects, contracts, and invoices have no bulk export anywhere, so download the few you need per project, and note your billing cycle end date before you cancel.
  • 2. Import them into BookNox. In BookNox go to Clients then Import, choose Dubsado as the source, and upload the file. BookNox maps the first and last name, email, phone, and company automatically; preview the rows, then confirm.
  • 3. Set up your packages once. Recreate your services and prices in settings (about 15 minutes) plus your per package contract defaults. BookNox generates the contract for you, so this is quick.
  • 4. Connect your own Stripe. Connect Stripe in onboarding so deposits land straight in your own bank account. BookNox takes 0% of your bookings; you pay only standard Stripe processing.
  • 5. Go live, then cancel Dubsado. Grab your booking link at booknox.com/book/your-name and point new inquiries at it. Let bookings already in progress finish in Dubsado, then cancel at the end of your billing cycle so you keep access until you are fully moved over.

Why people switch

Simpler to run, nothing skimmed.

  • Less to set up. Dubsado is built around customizable workflows and automations, which is powerful but takes time to stand up. BookNox is quote, contract, and deposit in one link, with nothing to build first.
  • 0% booking fees. BookNox never takes a cut of a booking. Clients pay into your own Stripe account and the money is yours; you pay only standard Stripe processing.
  • One flat price. BookNox is $29 a month, flat, with no tiers to unlock the feature you need.

Switching FAQ

The honest answers.

What can I import from Dubsado?
Your client list. Export your contacts from Dubsado as a CSV or spreadsheet, then import that file into BookNox in one step and choose Dubsado as the source. BookNox maps the first and last name, email, phone, and company for you.
Will my Dubsado projects, contracts, and invoices carry over?
Your contacts carry over; projects, contracts, and invoices do not, because there is no clean bulk export for them anywhere. Download the few you want to keep per project before you cancel. Everything else in BookNox is a fresh setup of about 30 minutes, which is why the move is fast.
Do I have to cancel Dubsado first, or can I run both?
Run both in parallel. Keep Dubsado active while any bookings already in progress there finish, and take new inquiries through BookNox. Cancel Dubsado at the end of your billing cycle so you keep access until you are fully moved over.
How long does switching take?
An afternoon. Import your contacts, set up your packages and contract defaults in settings, connect your own Stripe, grab your booking link, and you are live. If you get stuck, email hello@booknox.com and we will help you get set up.
