- Subject + session length (configurable) 60-minute default; the contract names the specific subject area (or areas) so scope creep into adjacent subjects requires a written amendment
- Weekly frequency (configurable) 1 session per week default; recurring schedule documented
- 24-hour make-up policy cancellations with 24+ hours notice rescheduled within the same calendar month; less-than-24 cancellations forfeit the session unless documented illness or emergency — protects your time without alienating parents
- Parent/guardian communication (for minors) you copy parents on substantive progress communications, share session summaries on a mutually agreed cadence, welcome parent participation in the first 10 minutes on request — baked-in transparency
- Materials cost (separate line) textbooks, workbooks, online curriculum subscriptions, and standardized-test prep materials billed separately at cost with prior client approval — you don’t eat the $200 SAT prep book
- Free monthly progress summary brief written progress update every 4 weeks at no extra cost; formal evaluations or school-accommodation tutoring reports quoted separately — keeps the included scope honest
