Getting paid

When a client signs, they pay the deposit through Stripe on the same page. The money goes to your connected Stripe account and on to your bank. BookNox doesn't hold it and takes no booking cut.

Deposit and balance

The deposit percentage comes from your catalog (weddings use a milestone schedule). The amount a client pays is computed on our server from the saved proposal, so it always matches the document, not from anything entered in the browser.

After the deposit, the balance collects on the schedule in the signed contract: secure payment links and reminders by default, automatic card charges when your client opts in to autopay, and installment plans if you define one in your catalog. Tutors, life coaches, and virtual assistants can also bill monthly for a fixed term.

The calendar drop

As soon as the deposit clears, the booking is created on your connected Google Calendar and a calendar invite goes to the client. You'll see paid bookings in your dashboard under Bookings.

Who handles taxes and refunds

Because you're the merchant for client payments, refunds, chargebacks, and taxes on that revenue are yours to manage, the same as any business taking card payments. BookNox gives you the record; you run the business.
