Customizing your contract terms

Your contract clauses come from your industry catalog in Settings. Start from BookNox's defaults, then tune them to your real policies — every future proposal uses your version.

What you can edit

Common terms you control:

• Cancellation and notice window
• Deposit percentage
• Force-majeure handling
• Per-trade clauses — for example a photo release and second-shooter scope for photographers, an overtime rate for DJs, an alcohol policy for venues, or script revisions for officiants

Start from defaults, then tune

Each industry ships with a credible set of starting clauses. They're a sensible baseline, not fixed terms — change anything to match how you actually work.

When changes take effect

Edits apply to proposals you create after the change. Proposals already signed keep the terms the client agreed to.
